What we keep, and why.

We collect only what we need to make and deliver your lamp, and to tell you when something new is out. Here is exactly what that means.

What we collect

When you order: your name, phone number, email address and, for delivery orders, your delivery area or Pickup Mtaani agent. We need these to confirm payment, deliver the lamp and honour the warranty.
When you pay: M-Pesa sends us the transaction code and the paying number. We never see or store your M-Pesa PIN.
When you browse: analytics and advertising pixels from Google, Meta, TikTok and Reddit record pages viewed and purchases made so we can measure what works. Cookies keep your cart and your customer login between visits.
When you review a lamp: the name and text you submit are shown publicly on the reviews page after approval.

How we use it

To confirm and deliver your order, and to send order updates by email and WhatsApp.
To send you occasional emails about new lamps, offers and your loyalty card. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at /unsubscribe.
To keep the order record for the 12-month warranty period.

Who we share it with

Only the services that get your lamp to you: our courier partners for delivery orders, our email provider for order and marketing emails, and the analytics and advertising platforms named above. We do not sell customer data.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your details at any time by emailing hello@satolamps.africa. We keep order records for the warranty period and delete personal data on request after that.
