Sato Lamps is a small studio in Nairobi. We design and make sculptural table and bedside lamps, finish each one by hand, and deliver it ourselves, one lamp at a time.
Why we make lamps
Most lamps sold in Kenya are imported in bulk, arrive with a bare socket, and are gone from the shelf the moment they break. We wanted lighting that felt considered: warm, dimmable light in the box, a body finished by hand, and a person in Nairobi who answers when you call.
Every lamp on this site is made in our studio, not pulled from a container. That is why the range is small and why some pieces sell out and come back.
What comes in the box
- The lamp, finished and checked by hand before it leaves the studio.
- A warm dimmable LED bulb, or a 16-colour RGB bulb if you choose it at checkout.
- A 12-month warranty on the body and wiring, honoured from Nairobi. See warranty and returns.

Where to find us
Our pickup point is at Travis Business Center, 3rd Floor Room A3, Mfangano Street, Nairobi CBD (Same building as Quickmart Mfangano, behind Afya Center). We are open Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00. Pickup is free, or we deliver anywhere in Kenya for a flat KSh 400. Details on the delivery and pickup page.
